Whee!

When the temperature hits 20 degrees, and you realize that you don't have a meeting, a class, it's not soccer night, it's not dance night...and the sun looks like this (and my cruddy camera does not nearly do it justice...it was fantastic!)...you go.....

SLEDDING!

That's right......random Tuesday night we decided at 4:45 to load up the van and the sleds and head to the hill.

We were the only ones there...even better!  Three eagers and a daddy won the race up the hill.  Lacey and I followed.

When Lacey and I got to the top we had already watched both Taylor and Molly take a few trips up and down the hill.  Then Morgan headed down with Taylor and Molly...and Lacey was ready to go...on her own...all 3 years of her...all by herself....yah...that wasn't going to happen..but she really pleaded her case well.

The girls had a lot fun...all 30 minutes before the sun set...fun.

All the girls did some solo rides (except for Lacey) but going with a sister is always more fun!

After all that initial huff and puff, Lacey never even went down the hill on a sled.  She slid down on her bottom once but decided she was scared of going fast and didn't want to go on a sled...even with her daddy.

The sun set, and toes got cold so we headed home for some supper, and homework.

Whee!!!!!!!

(another cruddy camera shot...but somehow the crud works on this one!)

M-O-R-G-A-N

Another one wants to go to school.  What is it with these kids wanting to grow up!

Morgan was very proud today that she managed to write her whole name by herself~no tracing.

The first time around she got a little crazy with the 'N' at the end, but she wanted to try again and she nailed it!  She looks a little proud, don't you think?  She couldn't wait for daddy to come home...she got a piece of paper and did a new one just for him.  Monday is registration for Kindergarten...guess she might be ready!

But am I?

Take Two

My oldest has an eye for detail;  and a very good memory.

In 1st grade at the girls school they make gingerbread houses.  Molly was very excited this year to get to make hers as she had seen Taylor's when she was in 1st grade.

As the girls got ready that morning with the excitement of gingerbread houses looming Taylor suggested that Molly wear the same outift that she had when she had made her house.  Do you remember what you were wearing two years ago?  Granted there is picture documentation but it's not as if she looks at it on a regular basis....ah...my talented daughter!

Molly agreed and so it was.....
