Senior Marching Band Night

It was cold!  Those polyester uniforms came in handy tonight!

The marching band season starts with Band Camp in July.  Students try on their uniforms and polish up their marching skills for the Waunafest parade.  The marching season ends with a parade in Wisconsin Dells.  Taylor texted me while they were on the bus to let me know that the trailer carrying instruments had gotten a flat tire so the busses with students were all pulled over to the side of the road while that got fixed.  About 20 minutes later she texted me that they were back on the road.  Fifteen minutes later the trailer blew another tire.  Obviously, this was not meant to be.  After another 30 minutes or so delay, while they waited and received some road side service ,they were now too late to make the parade so they headed back home.

UW Band Day

Extremely lucky to have beautiful weather for another UW Band Day.  This year the UW Band is under new leadership.  After 50 year of leading the UW Marching Band, Mike Leckrone retired and Corey Pompey is the new guy!
