Road Trip with Molly: South Carolina

Road trip with Molly to South Carolina to meet Corey and attend his Basic Training graduation.  I had never driven this far before 'alone' and I was a bundle of anxiousness.  I wanted to avoid Chicago so we took the l-o-n-g way through Illinois.

Hit some rain and orange barrels but we were rewarded with a rainbow.

North Carolina roads were not my favorite.  Super windy through the mountains.  They we hit rain so we pulled over in Waynesville.

After two days of travel we arrived ready for the next day.

We stayed close to the base and joined all the families anxiously awaiting their soldiers for Family Day.

A good amount of drama including marching in through colored smoke.

First time meeting in person.

Family Day on the base included several museums.

The next day we were back for the official graduation.

Molly and Corey with Corey's family went to a local zoo while I hit the pool and did some reading.

On the way back we went north and hit an aquarium and used the West Virginia turnpike.  

Proud of both of us!
