Family Picture Day

We are ready for the 2012-2013 school year!

 Taylor is in 5th grade this year and this will be her last year in Elementary school.  I'm not sure how that is possible.

 She is very excited about her teacher too.

Molly is in 3rd grade this year.  In her note to her teacher, Molly said Science is her favorite subject  and she is excited to learn new things.

Morgan is in 1st grade this year.

 

 She will have Mrs. L for the first semester.

 And Mrs. Stanton will be back from her child-care leave for 2nd semester.

The theme for the school year is soaring to new heights.  Taylor's parent survey asked me what I want for my child in 10-15 years.  And while I could have listed possible career paths that I wish for her or talents that I see blossoming that will hopefully serve her well my answer was pretty simple.  And it's the same thing for all my girls and that is to be happy and healthy.

Shawano

Another road trip for us.  We headed north and east this time.  Shawano bound.

 

We went to the Shawano County Fair to help celebrate Grandma Sue's retirement with family.

 
And we celebrated with cream puffs...yum!

It was a fair with fair things to do.  Bring on the rides.

We watched Chris's cousins kids in a kids tractor pull.

 He medaled!

 There were 4-H exhibits..the girls liked the Perry one.

 And we gave a few quarters to the 'lucky monkey'.....(not so lucky...but we'll get to that later)

The little ladies got to ride the little horses.  Lacey's was named Jimmy.

Taylor was sooooo glad she wore her cowboy boots.

After enjoying 4 hours of riding, eating, and visiting  with family, we headed to our hotel.  Our room was really nice......and this is where the story ends...very much like Lacey in this picture..you don't want to know...let's just say I'm not giving any more quarters to any more monkeys!
