After many contentious school board meetings, it's time to return to learning. What should it look like? Who knows?
Here in Dane County we were under Public Health Madison and Dane County which followed CDC orders closely. Several different orders have taken place since this all started but we are currently under a state issued mask order and Emergency Order #9 which required schools to begin the school year virtually for students in grades 3-12. Despite the allowance of K-2 all public schools started virtually.
So we are going to learn how do to things differently again! All schools have to figure out how students are going to pick up devices and materials. Teachers have to make quick decisions about what to send home to students.

Taylor started at MATC in the photography program. She will attend in person one day a week and the rest of the classes will be virtual.
Morgan will start her Highschool career behind a screen. Highschool schedules have been modified so that students are not on their screens live all day. Classes are 30 minutes of 'live' instruction over Zoom and then they have independent work time in the afternoon to complete the lesson and practice.
Molly is starting her Junior year with the shortened schedule as well. She is kind of excited to see if this home-schooling option is all she hopes it will be.
Lacey is starting Middle School~7th grade. She also has a shortened schedule and classes are running a little different to fit into the day. Flexible and resilient are the buzz words right now.
Mom is also working from home. Task number one is to upgrade our wifi connection! Dad is still going to his workplace with his mask and other distancing and cleaning mitigation's but the girls are going to be working from home!
