Dane County Fair Day!
I think this little calf is happy we came...check out her teeth~I think she's smiling!
Lacey was pretty sure that black/white cows make white milk
and brown cows make chocolate milk.
i love seeing my urban girls get rural
We hopped over steamy piles and skipped over rivers of 'who knows what'.
And we love it!
In the dairy barn, one of the families gave out bags filled with goodies!
Lacey discovered a chocolate straw. Since we dashed her 'brown cows make chocolate milk' theory she was very interested in this turn of events.
Here she is explaining to Brody about this fantastic news.
A nice addition to the fair this year was a scavenger hunt. In each barn, the girls were asked questions about the animals they saw and their scavenger hunts were signed.
Q: Are there more chickens or people in the world?
A: Chickens~25 billion
People~7 billion
bawk! bawk!
Fair food must be consumed .
corndogs, gyros~~yum!
It was public safety day, so the kids got to get up close and personal with police and firefighters.
They look awfully pleased in the back of that police car.
Better be the only time I see any of them in the back of a police car!
Firefighter Lacey!
In the children's 'barn' the girls were able to touch exotics like the snake.
Grandpa had to show off a little.
I prefer yellow and fluffy.
Lacey talked about chocolate milk all the way home.
She bounded out of the car and announced "chocolate milk time".
The straws were interesting. They were full of chocolate beads that stayed in the straw.
Lacey was not happy that her milk remained white. But she figured out that when she used the straw it tasted like chocolate milk...what a confusing sensory experience!
(whoops, that grad class talk slipping out)
Thank you brown cow, you made 4 little ladies very happy!
