December

Time to get Merry!  We got out to Capaul's Christmas Tree Farm right away this year because they ran out after the first weekend last year.

As we were paying, guess who we ran into to...Mr Sam Robinson~that guy is everywhere!
The girls DID NOT want to take a photo with Santa, but I thought this will likely be my last chance~then I made it the Christmas Card for this year!
We walked and walked but we found a great tree~as you can tell no snow yet and not even hat and glove weather.

Looks amazing next to our awesome new electric fireplace!  Not a fire hazard since it's electric but oh so warm and cozy!

Getting flu shots for the girls and a booster for me.

First indoor band concert for Lacey

First public gymnastics meet for Morgan~away in Milton. She did great!  It takes so much courage to have ALL eyes on you like that.  So proud of this girl!

First high school band concert for Morgan~miscommunication with the photographer in the family, I thought she was taking photos for me~she was not.  So only a photo of the program.

Molly applied and was accepted into the preliminary Interior Design program at Madison College~celebrate with cake!

Winter dance recital was back at the Performing Arts Center in Waunakee.  I had no idea there were so many songs about candy and cookies!

The zoom lens that Taylor purchased (thank you 529 plans from Grandmas and Grandpas) was great for capturing moments like this.

Cookie Baking Time

Guess which one Taylor did......

Christmas Eve at Grandma Dar's

Oldest to youngest
Tallest to shortest
Christmas morning~baby Yoda and Harry Potter socks

We got our first measurable snowfall the day after Christmas.  Ellen challenged us to make a snowman.  We did not get out in time to get the 'good' packing snow.  So I went with the interpretive buried snowman.

Harlan is posing with their snowman.

Finished the Christmas weekend at Grandma Sue and Grandpa Genes with Amy and Brian.

Molly had her bottom wisdom teeth out on New Year's Eve.  Not exactly a great way to start the new year but it needed to be done.  She's been complaining about jaw pain for some time so I hope this relieves some of that pain.  She did great!

*******************************************************************

We did our traditional fondue~no fun neighborhood party yet.  A new strain of COVID~omincron is picking up speed.  Thankfully it was mild (more like a classic flu) but still highly contagious and no one wants to start the year off like that~so we just did our family.

Cheers to 2021~it had its moments.  Hoping to have a healthy and happy 2022!
