Heading Back to School!

Fresh start to the school year~getting our glam on!  First time getting their hair washed in the big tubs!

There are no pictures from the actual back to school shopping because it is too hard to take pictures when your teeth are clenched and you're trying not to 'lose-it' in the folder aisle looking for the folders of five different colors with two pockets but no clasps.......moving on....

Taylor had a back to school night at the Middle School...this is getting big people!

For one thing there are lockers with real locks!

She will have a schedule and change classes.  This is her homeroom.

The other girls are still at the elementary and had their back to school night on a different night.

Morgan is in 2nd grade this year.
Morgan wanted me to take a picture of her neat and organized desk.

Molly is in 4th grade this year.  She got to pick her desk...it was a tough choice!

Lacey is in Kindergarten!

Back to school night done!
25 folders, 15 notebooks and 96 pencils all in place and ready for September!

The Big Truck

Lacey had a busy summer meeting a second little friend over the summer.  And this one was right across the street.  They had moved in just for the summer as they were building their house.  Lacey spent a lot of time at her house and she spent a lot of time at ours.  They would hang out on the driveway until the other one noticed she was outside.  So cute!

When moving day arrived it was a little sad.....
But they exchanged addresses and have already written letters : )  *sniff-sniff*

Summer Sport Season

The summer sport schedule had all the girls busy and me running around!

Molly had another round of summer gymnastics.  With her dance during the school year gymnastics is a nice compliment.

She also tried basketball even though we weren't there more than 5 minutes before she got a basketball tossed in her face *sigh*.

 SWISH!

Taylor played volleyball this summer.  Watching the clinic it was hard to believe that only two years separated the majority of the girls...what a difference in height!  Taylor was not the tallest.

Taylor also tumbled this year~she tumbled in the house, the yard, parking lots, and aisles of stores....

Lacey tumbled too!

Morgan got into the tumble action as well and really liked the floor routine they taught her.  She worked very hard this summer on her cartwheel and has turned it into a pretty impressive round-off.

She's pretty bendy too...she can touch her feet to her head!

Strong little thing too!  Check out those toes.
She also participated in 'coach-pitch' this year.  She was a 'lime'.

Hello Kitty bat, pink glove and all!

Whew!  I get tired just recanting it!

Seven and Sweet

There's a new 7-year old in our house!  She spent a fun day with Grandma Sue/Grandpa Gene, her sisters, and step-cousins.  She picked Fridays for dinner as she has determined they make an excellent bowl of mac-n-cheese!

The weekend before her special day she had some little friends over to start the celebration.

She enjoyed assembling the goodie bags.

And using tattoos to decorate the cups.

They decorated frames and posed for special friend pictures that we will send them with their thank you cards.  They make a bracelet, put on their own tattoos and played pin the tail on Hello Kitty.  After pizza and ice cream sundaes they settled in for a movie and popcorn.

Her family birthday started with her performing an interpretive dance to "The Only Exception" and then she opened gifts. She loved her new clothes, slippers, Hello Kitty accessories, bubble-maker, Teen Beach Movie movie, and her shuffle and speakers.

Then the kids had some fun in the water.

Molly's mermaid tail.
Happy Birthday Morgan!

Morgan,
Watching your baby home movies makes me wonder where the time has gone.  You have always been a smart little cookie with so many thoughtful ideas and liking your structure and routine.  You are the neatest of your sisters at this point~you like your bed made and blankets folded.  You like dark wash blue jeans and socks that are not baggy. You have really showed some athletic talents this past year with an impressive soccer season and strengths in both coach-pitch and gymnastics.

I can't wait to see what surprises you have in store for us this year!
love,
Mommy
