The eve of the teen years

Taylor turned 12 this year!  We anxiously await dental appointments for orthadonic referrals, shopping for bras and other girly things that are too personal to mention here.

She got a trak phone~it only calls (that is when you acually talk to someone over the phone) and texts.  This post is being written several months after her actual birthday and she has already burned through many many minutes and we've had several discussions regarding paying for those minutes.

The vultures are circling.
Happy Birthday!
We love you!

1st Communion

Morgan had her 1st communion this spring. I taught her class in preparations for the sacrament and she was confident on her 'make a plate with your hand and use a fork not a shovel'.

Morgan wore the same dress that all her sisters and I both wore.  We call it 'vintage'.

Msgn. Gunn gave the homily and he addressed the communicants about being 'grown-up' in the church family.

After church, we celebrated with family.

God bless you!

Brookelyn also celebrated her 1st Communion this spring.
God bless!

Concerts

In elementary school the girls each have a singing concert at some point in the school year.  As a middleschooler, Taylor had several band concerts.

The first concert they just played ensembles, so all the flutes played together, all the trumpet, etc.  They played simple songs like Mary Had a Little Lamb.  It was cool to see the progression of their playing ability.  They performed on the stage at the Middle School.

The last concert was in the Performing Arts Center~ooo la la.

Molly had mostly a singing concert but 4th graders also play the recorder!

There are four classrooms of 2nd grade.  Each classroom gets to perform a special performance.  Morgan's room performed with the bells.

And Kindergarten concerts~well they are just adorable!

A Decade

Molly celebrated a decade this year!  As usual the birth'day' lasted well over a week with celebrations at home, at school, and with family.

With a birthday so close to the Valentine holiday school is full of sweet treats that time of year.  I was able to get to school and take some pictures of her with her friends!

 **********************************
Molly asked for a gymnastics friend party and a sleep-over; so we compromised with a friends and family gymnastics party and then three friends got to sleep-over.

Pizza, cake and smiles!

Many more decades to go!
Love you Molly!

Valentines

This showed up on our doorstep (sort of) this Valentines.  I say sort of because it accidently got delivered to the wrong house~but we got it all figured out~our secret admirer is certainly sweet!

I also make a stop at school to have lunch with the girls and their silly friends.

Merry Christmas!

We had a very white Christmas this year!

Kindergarten traditions dictate that we have Reindeer food to sprinkle on the lawn.

The girls exchanged gifts among themselves this year.  They exchanged Christmas Eve.

Chistmas morning!

We celebrated with family that is close in proximity.

However, we celebrate with family in our heart regardless of the address!

Happy Holidays!
