Tick-Tock look at my Lime Clock!
For the science fair this year, Taylor tested different items in the 'potato' clock. She chose to test lemons, salt water, banana, soda, and limes. She learned that the system only worked when the path was hooked up the right way and she also learned that the limes lasted the longest.
She identified her problem, hypothesis, experiment, data, and conclusion...with a mom as a facilitator : )
She is studying electricity in class right now as well so we also brought along a more traditional circuit of electricity for the kids to try.
Way to go Brookelyn, you made the lightbulb light!!
Molly was inspired by a Magic School Bus episode. She learned that when we breathe our muscles use the oxygen to move. She learned the words inhale and exhale.
In her own words, she had a word puzzle that descibed how the path of oxygen gets from the air we breathe, to our lungs, our blood, our heart, our muscles, back to the heart, back to the lungs and repeats over and over again.
She also showed her friends the sample lung she made to demostrate inhale and exhale.
The science fair was a busy place with lots of cool things to see.
Nice job little scientists!
