Fieldtrip to the Dane County Fair.
These three little ones had a lot of fun.
The girls were all very brave with the animals...Morgan liked this bunny because its fur was almost the same color as her hair...however; the wiggle of a bunny nose would send that hand back in a wink.
Lacey (to no surprise) wanted to pet everything.
And even touched the snake....
Despite the blurry picture...I had to include it because she looks so proud to be holding that little chick...I hope the chick is as happy....
Baby ducks were around for the pawing too...
After handfuls of hand santizer and plenty of hand scubbing with soap and water we finished the night with some icecream.
The next day we headed to Yogi Bear for some 'camping'...
My idea of camping is in an air-conditioned 3-bedroom rental house *thanks grandma sue and grandpa gene* We were sitting on the couch watching some cartoons while it rained outside when Lacey turns to me and asks, "Mama, is this camping?"....um...."This is how mama camps" : )
We did spend time on a campsite *thanks carrie and eric*...we went on the hayride which doesn't have any actual hay...instead, as you ride around the campground you yell "hey" to everyone you see...I wonder if the campsites on the ride route are a little cheaper than the rest : )
We also celebrated Olivia's birthday. Eric hung a Dora pinata from the tree for the kids to enjoy. It was a pull the ribbon pinata...oh I wish they would have pulled the ribbons...instead a stick was located and somebody thought that would be a good idea...lacey swung first and that was uneventful...then molly was up...(she must have been watching mommy play softball) she really stepped into it...and poor Dora's head was left hanging in the tree while her little body rolled along the ground at a pretty good speed....Eric tried to jam it back together and the kids pulled the ribbons...candy was had by all.
We did a lot of swimming while we were up there and played in the sun...and yes, I forgot my camera....
